Ci.ty should acquire a 'Buick touring Car having a wheelbase of one hundred and sixteen (116) inches in length, and fully equipped. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish for two (2) weeks in "The Enter- prise and The South San Francisco Journal", a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said Ci~ of South San Francisco, the following notice: NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS FOR ~ALE OF BUICK TOURING CAR TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the Cit~ of South San Francisco until Monday, the 4th day of March, 1929, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. for the sale to said City of South San Francisco of one Buick Touring Car, 1929 Model, fully equipped and having a wheelbase of one hundred and sixteen (116) inches in length. Each bid for the sale of such Buick Touring Car to said City of South San Fran- cisco must be accompanied by a bid for the purchase of the Dodge Touring Car now owned by said City of South San Francisco. No bid for the sale of such Buick Touring Car will be considered unless the same is acc mnpanied by such bid to purohasesuch Dodge Touring Car, withthe understanding that the price offered for said Dodge Touring Car shall be applied first upon the purchase price for said Buick Touring Car. Each bid shall be accompanied by a check certified by a responsible bank in the State of California, in not less than Ten (10) per cent of the amount of the hid, which check shall be delivered to said City of Soush San Fr_ancisco upon the condition that, if the bidder to whom the contract for such Buick Touring Car is awarded, shall fail to comply with the terms of such contract, the amount of said check shall be deemed to be liquidated damages for such failure.
