REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION
IN THE FEDERAL YOUTHBUILD PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Youthbuild is a federal program sponsored by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide
disadvantaged young adults with education, jobs and leadership
skills; and
WHEREAS, the program would expand the number of affordable
housing units in the country by employing program participants in
the construction of houses for low and moderate income families;
and
WHEREAS, application for Youthbuild Program funds would
implement the program in conjunction with the proposed
rehabilitation of the Grand Hotel/Affordable Housing Project and/or
the Metropolitan Hotel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of
the City of South San Francisco that the Executive Director is
hereby authorized and directed, on behalf of the Redevelopment
Agency of the City of South San Francisco, to collaborate with the
School District and the Owner/Participant to develop an
application for Youthbuild funding to implement the program.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
South San Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting held on the24th
day of April , 1996, by the following vote:
AYES: Boardmembers EugeneR. Mul-~n, JohnR. Penna, Robert Yee
and Chairman Jack Drago
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: B0ardmember Joseph A. Fernekes
