SAN FRANCISCO DIRECTING THE PUBLICATION 0F NOTICE TO
BIDDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION 0F A SIGN ADVERTISING
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO THE INDUSTRIAL CITY.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco that public
interest and convenience require that said City should construct a sign advertising
South San Francisco the Industrial City. Said sign shall be constructed at the location
shown upon the plans hereinafter mentioned.
Said sign shall conform with the plans and specification therefor filed in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of South San Frsncisco on the §th day of November,
1928, and on said date adopted by said City Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish for two (2) weeks in "The Enterprise
and The South San FranCisco Journal", a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed
and published in said City of South San Frar~isco, the following notice inviting sealed
proposals or bids for constructing a sign advertising said City of South San Frar~isco
the Industrial City;
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTING
A SIGN ADVERTISING SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO THE INDUSTRIAL CITY.
Sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco until ?:ZO o'clock p.m. on Monday, the let day of April, 1929, for
constructing a sign advertising South San Francisco the Industrial City. Said sign
shall be constructed in strict compliance with the plans and specifications adopted by
the City Council therefor on the 5th day of November, 1928, and now on file in the office
of the City Clerk, and at the locations shown upon said plans.
The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded will be required to execute to
said City of South San Francisco a bond for the faithful ~erform~nce of his contract in
an amount equal to twenty-five (25) per cent of his undertaking with at least two (2)
responsible sureties in the full amount of the bid ~each. Each proposal must be accom-
panied with a certified check upon a solvent bank of the State of Cs, lifornia, payable to
the City of SoUth San Francisco in an amount not less than ten (lC) per cent of the
aggregate of the bid, upon the condition that, if the proposal be accepted, and the con-
tract awarded,-and the bidder shall fail aud neglect to execute the contract, the sum
mentioned in said check shall be liquidated damages for such failure and neglect and
shall be fQrfeited and ~paid into the treasury of th~ C~lty of South San Francisco. ~
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before ?:Z0
o'clock P. M, on Monday, the 1st day of April, ~92@.

All sealed proposals or bids will be opened by said City Council in public
session on Monday, 'the 1st day of April, 19~9, at ?:Z0 o'clock P. ~. in the Council
Chamber of said City Council.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
