HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 249-192922 RESOLUTION NO. 65 IN THE MATTEROF THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF SWIFT AVENUE IN THE CITY .OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, in the County of San Mateo, State of California, that public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of said City Council to order the following street work to be done in said City, tO-wit: That the portion of Swift Avenue in said City of South San Francisco, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the easterly line of that parcel of land conveyed by Steiger Terra Cotta and Pottery Works to W. P. Fuller and Company. as recorded in Volume 45 of Official Records at page 81, San Mateo County Re- cords; said point bears due South 327.,56 feet from the northeasterly corner of the above mentioned tract; r~nning thence from said point of beginning due North 7.39 feet; thence, northeasterlYoOn the arc of a curve to the left, whose tangent at its beginning bears North 56 09' 50" East, whose central angle is 6° 48' 50", radius 413.10 feet a distance of 49.13 feet; thence North 49° 21' East 91.90 feet; thence North 720 50' East 43.16 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the left whose central angle is 13o 20' 53" radius 447.82 feet, a distance of 1~4.33 feet to a point of compound curve; thence on the arc of a curve to the left, whose central angle is 4° 16' 28", radius 417.97 feet a distance of 31.18 feet; thence O ! . That it is unnecessary to take any land therefor. That the following described district of land is hereby declared to be the district benefitted by said work and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof and that said district is situated in the City of South San ~rancisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point which marks the southeasterly corner of that cer- tain parcel of land in the City of South San Francisco, conveyed by Steiger Terra Cotta and Pottery Works to W. P. Fuller and Company, as recorded in Volume 48 of Official Records at page 81, San Mateo County Records; running thence from said point of be- ginning along the easterly line, of said parcel of land north 697 feet to ~the~ north-. easterly corner thereo; thence east 30 feet to the westerly line of the W. P. Fuller and Company 1.556 acre tract in the City of South San Francisco; thence along the westerly line of the last mentioned tract north 167 feet more or less to the north- westerly c~rner of said 1.556 acre tract; thence along the northerly line of said tract S 86~ 30' E 2~0.92 feet to the westerly line of the W. P. Fuller and Company 17.47 acre tract: thence following along the nor~therly boundary line of said 17.47 acre tract S. 860 30' E. 985.00 feet; .thence S. 3° 30' W. 865.45 feet; thence N. 8~° 30' W. 325 feet; thence N. 3© 30' E 150 feet; thence N. 86° 30' W. 335 feet; thence~S 30 30' W. 150 feet; thence N. 88o 30' W. 325 feet to the westerly line of the W. P. ~uller and Company 17.47 acre tract, said line being also the easterly line of the W. P. Fuller and Company 2.155 acre tract,othence following along the southerly line of the last menti,oned 2.165 acre tract N. 86 oo' 04" W. 239.17 feet to the point of ~beginning. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act to provide for -~aying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part any street, square lane, alley, court, or place within municipalities, and to condemn and acquire any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose", approve~ March 6, 1889, smd the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. The street superintendent is hereby directe~ to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of sai~ contemplated work or improvement notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form required by law. Said street superintendent is lik~- wide directed also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published by four [Al successive insertions in "The Enterprise and the South San Francisco Journal", a Weekly newspaper published and circulated in said 0ity of South .San Francisco, which newspaper is hereby designated by said.
