San Francisce directing this notice, said ity Council hereby invites sealed proposals or
bids for doing the work and improve, merit described in Resolution of Intenti~on No. 66, passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco on the 24th d~y of June,
1929, and entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of South San Francisco declaring its
intention to improve portions of Swift Avenue in the City of South San Francisco."
R~ference is hereby made to said-resolution of intention No. 66 for further par-
ticulars, which resolution of intention is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
All sealed proposals' or bids shall be accompanied by a check payable to the City
of South San ~rancisco, certified by a responsible bank for an amount which shall not be
less than ten (lOI per cent of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the said
amount and so payable., signed by the bidder and two -{2) sureties who shall justify before
any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the said amount,- over~ and above
all statutory exemptions.
Sealed proposals or bids 'shall be delivered ~to the City Clerk of said Ciity on or
before 7:JO o'clock P. M. on Monday, the 5th day of August, 19_29, said time being not
less than ten (10) days from the first publication and posting of this notice.

Daniel McSweeney, being duly sworn, deposes and says:
That he is now, and was during all the time herein mentioned, the duly elected,
acting and qualified City Clerk of the City of South San ~rancisco, in-the aforesaid
County and State; that pursuant to statute and the order of the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, he .duly'posted conspicuously for five (~1 days near the Council
Chamber Root of the City Council of said City the annexed notice; that said notice was
posted for the first time as aforesaid, on the 2Zrd day of July, 1929, and was kept
continuously so posted to the l£th day of August, 1929.
