NO. 66
WHEREAS the 0ity Council of the City of South San ~rancisco did, in open session
on the 5th day of August, 1929, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals
or bids for doing the improvement work described in Resolution of Intention No: 66,
which Resolution of Intention was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
South San ~rancisco on the 24th day of June, 1929, to which Resolution of Intention re-
ference is hereby made for a description of said work and the assessment district in said
Resolution of Intention described;
Resolved ~hat said City Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids, ex-
cept that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work
and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: Union paving Company At the
price named in its bid, te,wi~:
Item a. Excavation, Thirty (g0) cents per cubic yeard;
Item b, Embankment construction, Thirty l~0) cents per cubic yard;
Item c. Construction of asphaltic concrete base pavement, Six (6) Dollars per ton;
Item d. Construction of eight inch concrete base pavement, Twenty (20) Cents per
square foot; .
Item e. Construction of two inch asphaltic concrete wearing surface, Six (6) cents
per squ~re foot;
Item f. construction of sic (6) inch waterbound macadam shoulder, Ten (10) cents
per square foot;
Item g. combined concrete curb and gutter, seventy-five (7§)cents per linesl foot;
Item H. Concrete sidewalks, thirteen (1S) cents per square foot;
Item J.' two inch by six inch red~[ood header boards ten cents per lineal foot;
Item k. Two inch by ten inch redwood header boards ten (10) cents per lir~al foot;
Item 1. Twelve inch diameter sanitary sewer, one and 40/100 Dollars ($1.40) per
lineal foot;

Item M. Pifteen inch diameter sanitary sewer, Two dollars (~$2.00) per lineal foot;
Item N. Twelve inch diameter storm water sewer, One and 20/100 Dollars ($1.20)
per lineal foot;
Item 0. Eighteen inch diameter storm water sewer, Two Dollars ($2.00) per lineal
foot;
Item P. Twenty-four inch diameter storm water sewer, Two and 90/100 Dollars
($2.90) per lineal foot;
Item Q Thirty inch diameter storm water sewer, Pour and 50/100 Dollars ($4.501
per lineal foot;
Item R. Thirty-six inch diameter storm water sewer, Five and 50/100 Dollars
($5.501 per lineal foot;
Item S. steel reinforced concrete manholes, Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($250.001 each;
Item T. Brick manholes, Sixty-five Dollars ($65.00) each;
Item U. Brick catch basins, Sixty-five Dollars ($65.00) each;
Item ¥.- Steel reinforced concrete ~box ctulverts, Pifty Dollars ($60.00) per
lineal foot;
Item W. Steel reinforced conorete end wall~. Twenty-five Dollars ($2§.O0~
per cubic yard.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post notice of this award conspicuously
for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber Door of this Council and also
to publish this notice by' two (2) insertions in "The Enterprise and The South
San Francisco Journal", a weekly newspaper printed and published in said City
and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council.
Except as hereinbefore provided, all of the herein proposed work
shall be done in pursuance of an act of the legislature of the State of
California designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", and the amendments
thereto.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly in-
troduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
this 5th day of August, 1929, by the following vote:
