FIRE HOUSE SITE TO ~TZGER PACKING CO.
· HEREAS the City of South San Francisco is the owner of the
land hereinafter described and Metzger Packing Co., a corporation organized and
existing under the laws of the State of California has erected a packing plant
near said land; and
WHEREAS it will be advantageous to said Metzger Packing Co.
acquire the title to said land for use in connection with the business of
said ~Metzger Packing Co.; and
~WHEREAS the City Council of said City of South San Francisco
believe that the interest of said City of South San Francisco will be served
by the benefit which said Metzger Packing Co. will derive from the use of said
land as aforesaid; and
WHEREAS South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a
corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of C~.lifornia
is willing to convey to said City of South San Francisco a quantity of land
equal in area to the land hereinafter described and lying adjacent to the
westerling boundary line of +~he ~ract or parcel of land of which the land here-
inafter described forms a part without cost to said City of South S~u Francisco,
provided that said City of South San Francisco will convey to said Metzger Pack-
ing Co. the land hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS the land proposed to be donveyed to said City of South
San Francisco by said South Ssa Francisco Land and Improvement Company. as afore-
said, will serve the purposes of said City of South Sa~ Francisco as fully as
such purposes are now, or will be hereafter served by the land hereinafter de-
scribed;
NOW, THEREFORE, resolved by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the Mayor of said City and the City Clerk be, and the~hereby
~are authorized and directed in the nsme of said City of South S~ Francisco and
under its corporate seal, to execute a deed conveying to said Metzger Packing Co.
all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Fran-
cisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as
follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line of Swift Avenue in
the City of South San Francisco, said point being distant South ~6o ~?, 15" East
lC.10 feet a~d North ~o 2~' A2" East ~0 feet from a granite monument set in the
centerline of Swift Avenue at the first angle point east of the Southern Pacific
Railroad; running thence from said point of beginning along the northerly line of
Swift Avenue North ~6o Z?, 18" West 6 feet; thence North ~o 2~, A2. East ~00 feet;
thence South ~8° ~' 18" East 6 feet; thence South ~o ~, ~. West EO0 feet to
the point of beginning.

I hereby certify that the ~oregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San ~ranci~co, this
day of October, 1929, by the following vote:
