WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in the County
of San I~ateo, State of California, Has acquired a site for the purposes of a public
park in said City of South San Francisco, and said site is unimproved, and the por-
tion of Orange Avenue from the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific Company to the
Valencia Street line of said Southern Pacific Company,. lying adjacent to said public
park site is unpaved, and said City has an option for the acquisition of additional
land for park purposes, which land lies adjacent to said park site, and said City
has an optio~ for the acquisitio~ of two other sites for the purposes of public parks;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, as follows'.
First: It is hereby determined that public interest ~nd necessity demand the
acquisition by s~id City of South San Fr~:mcisco of said additional land adjacent
mto said park site owned by said City, and the acquisition of said two other park
sites, and the improvement of said pzrk site owned by said City and the improvement·
of said land adjacent thereto, and the improvement of ~s~id two other park sites, so
that the sa~e may be used for the~ purpose~:, of publi6 parks, and the improvement of
the oortion of 0r~nge Avenue hereinbefore ~entioned;
Second: It is hereby determined that the cost of the acquisition of said
additional land adjacent to said park site owned by said City, and the acquisition
of said two other park sites, and the improvement of said additional land and said
two other p~rk sites for the purpose of public parks, and the improvement of said
public park site now owned by said City, and the improvement of said portion of
Orange Avenue will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary ~nnual revenue of
said City ~f South S~n Francisco, and will, in addition to the other expenditures
of said City of South San Francisco, exceed the revenue for any one year.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council oi' the City of South S~n Francisco this S£nd day of
January, 19ZO, by the following vote; the same being not less than two-thirds of
all the members of said City Council:
