RESOT~UTION CANVASSING RETURNS OF SPECIA~ ELECTION
HELD IN THE CiTY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON THE
25th day of ~EBRUARY, 1930.
WHEREAS, at a special election held in the City of South San Francisco on the
25th day of February, 19Z0, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 1§3 of said
City of South San ~rancisco, the number of votes voting and the whole number of
votes cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct A, were two hundred (200), and that of
~aid whole number of votes, one hundred and seven (10?) votes were cast for and in
favor of accepting the proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of One Hundred~
and Thirty-five Thousand'Dollars ~$1Z~,000.O0) in Gold Coin of the United States
of America for the object and purpose of acquiring land for three ~Z) park sites in t
the City of South San Francisco, the improvement of the p~rk site now owned by said
City of South San Francisco, and the land proposed to be acquired in said City for
park purposes, and the improvement of the portion of Orange Avenue from the Baden
Branch of the Southern Pacific Company to the Valencia Street line of said Southern
Pacific Company in said City, which proposition is hereby designated as Proposition
No. l, and that of said whole number of votes so cast in Consolidated Voting Precinct
A, ninety ~90) votes were cast against the adoption of said proposition; and
WHEREAS the number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in said
Consolidated Voting Precinct A for and in favor of acsepting the proposition to in-
cur a bonded indebtedness of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($~0,000.00) in Gold Coin of the
United States for the object and purpose of constructing and completing a public
swim~ing pool and acquiring a~ site on which to construct such swimming pool, which
proposition is hereinafter designated as Proposition No. 2, was Forty-four ~) votes
and that of said whole number of votes so cast in said Consolidated 'Voting Precinct
A, one hundred and forty-nine (1~91 votes were cast against the adoption of said
Proposition No. ~; and
~HEREAS the number of voters voting and the whole number of Votes cast in
Consolidated Voting Precinct B, were two hundred and seventy-two (27£1, and that
of said whole number of votes ninety-eight ~98~ votes were cast for and in favor
of accepting said proposition No. i and one hundred and seventy (l?0) votes were
cast against the adoption of said proposition No. l; and
WHEREAS in said Consolidated Voting Precinct B, seventy-thre8 votes were cast
for and in favor of accepting said proposition No. 2, and one hundred and eighty-
nine (189) votes were cast against the adoption of said Proposition No. ~; and
WHEREAS the number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in
Consolidated Voting Precinct C, were 163, and that of said whole munber of votes
Sixty-two ~8~) votes were cast for ~nd in favor of accepting said Proposition No. ~
and ninety-six (98) votes were c~st against the adoption of s~id proposition No. 1;
and
WHEREAS in said Consolidated Voting Precinct C, forty ~0) votes were cast for
and in favor of accepting said Proposition No. 2, and one hundred and fourteen (ll~)
votes were cast against the adoption of s~id Proposition No. ~; ~nd
wHEREAS the number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in
Consolidated ~Voting Precinct D, were 158, and that of said whole number of votes
~,enty nine votes were cast for and in favor of accepting said Proposition No. l,
and one hundred and eight ~108) votes were cast against the adoption of said
Proposition No. l; and
WHEREAS in said Consolidated Voting Precinct C, nineteen ~19) votes were
cast for and in favor of accepting said Proposition No. 2, ~nd One Hundred ~nd
fifteen i~11~ votes were cast against the adoption of said Proposition No. 2; and
WHEREAS ~.he total number of voters voting, and the total number of votes
cast in said City at said special election were ??3, and that of said total number
of votes, two hundred and ninety-six ~296) votes were cast in favor of said Pro-
position No. I and four hundred and sixty-four (~8~) votes were cast against the
adoption of said Proposition No. l; and one hundred aud seventy-six ~178) votes
were cast in f~vor of said Proposition No. ~, and five hundred and sixty-seven (~87)
votes were cast against the adoption of said Proposition No. 2; and
WHEREAS the number of s~id votes cast at said sp~ecial election for and in favor
of said Proposition No. 1 is less than two-thirds (2/~$) of all votes cast at said
special election, and the number of votes c~st in favor of said Proposition No. 2
is less than two-thirds (2/Z) of all the votes cast upon said Proposition No. 2 at
said special election;
NOW, THERE~0~, Resolved by the City Council of the City of SOuth San Francisco
that said Proposition No. I and said Proposition No. 2 were, and each thereof, reject-
ed, at s~id special election.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 3rd day of
March, 19JO, by the following vote:
