RESO~UTION GRANTING CONSENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
F RAN C I SC 0.
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the County of San N~teo did, on
the 18th day of August, 19ZO, approve specifications for certain acquisitions and
improvements of rights of way and improvement of public streets, avenues ~and high-
ways in the City of South San Francisco, in said County of San Eateo, and in the
City of ~San Bruno, in said County of San Nateo, and in certain unincorporated
territory in said County of San ~atee, by constructing a system of intercepting
and outfall sewers in said rights of way, public streets, avenues and highways,
ahd portions of land over which it is necessary to acquire such rights of way, and
portions of said public streets, avenues and highways to be improved, as afore-
said, lie within said City of South San Francisco; and ~
WHEREAS the said Board of Supervisors did, on the 18th day of
August, 19ZO, approve said specifications so prepared and request the consent
of the legislative body of the City of South San Francisco to the ac.quisition
of such rights Of way and the improvement of such rights of way and of said
public streets, avenues and highways proposed to be acquired and improved, which
lie within and to the inclusion in the proposed assessment district of that
portion of said assessment district lying within the boundaries of said City
of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS a copy of skid specifications Iso approved by said Board
of Supervisors and a copy of the resolution of said Board of Supervisors, so
approving said specifications and requesting such consent of this council, which
copy of said specifications, and which ~opy of said resolution h~ve been cer-
tified by the Clerk of said Board of Supervisors, have been duly presented to
this City Council, the same ~being the legislative body of said City of South
San Francisco, and have been duly filed with this City Council; and
of
WHEREAS the City Council of said City/South San Francim~co has
examined said specifications and is f~miliar with the things proposed tc be
done thereunder;
NOW, THERF~0RE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco:
l~ That public interest and necessity require the acquisition
and improvements of rights of way and the improvement of public streets, avenues
and highways,in said City cf South San Francisco, and in the City of San Bruno,
and in certain unincorporated territory in said County of ~an N~teo, all of
which rights of way, public streets, avenues and highways are delineated upon
the plans annexed to.said specifications, by constructing ~ system of inter-
cepting and outfall sewers in said rights of way, public streets, ~venues and
highways, all to the extent and in the manner set forth in s~id specifications
therefor, prepared by R. A. Klassen and approved by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of San ~ateo on the 18th day of August, 19ZO, and now on file in
the office of the County Clerk of said COunty of San ~ateo, entitled "Spec-
ifications for sewer system to be constructed in Acquisition and Improvement
District No. E1 San ~ateo County, California," a certified copy of which is
on file with the Clerk of this Council. Reference is hereby made to said cer-
tified copy of said specifications and the same are hereby incorporated in
this resoluti on.
E. That the consent of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco is hereby given to the acquisition ~and improvement of those
portions of such rights of way and the acquisition and improvement of the
portions of said Public streets, ~avenues and highways lying within the bound-
aries of said City of South San Francisco, in the manner set forth in said
specifications, which s~id portions of so. id public streets, avenues and
highways are described as follows:
The read, formerly the County Road from San Bruno to South
San Francisco, from T~nforan Avenue to a point 900 feet north of Tanforan
Avenue;
A portion of~Linden Avenue at a pointapproximately ~0 feet
northwest and north of Dollar Avenue;
Tanforan Avenue from Huntington Avenue to Dollar Avenue;
Tanforan Avenue from Railroad Place to San~ateo Avenue;
A portion of Bay Shore Highway on a line five ~) feet north
of the southerly corporate limits of the City of South San Francisco.
~. That this City Council hereby finds and determines that the
lands included within the foregoing described boundaries lying Within said City
of South San Francisco will be benefitted by the said Proposed acquisitions and
improvements and hereby consents to the inclusion of said lands within the pro-
posed assessment district described in said specifications and to the assessment
therefor of the proper~y therein described as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING AT the point of intersection of the northeasterly line

of E1 Camino Real with the southeast Boundary line of the tract of laud shown on a map
entitled "Section, West of Railroad, of the Town of Baden Part of Ranchq Buri Burl, San:
Mateo Co. Cal." filed for record in Book E of Maps at page 62, San N~teo County Records;
thence northeast along the last mentioned line, 1090 feet more or less, to the southwest-
erly line of the right of way of the Market Street Railway Company; thence southeasterly
along the last mentioned line, 1680 feet 'more or less to the southwesterly production of
a line parallel to and 500 feet distant northwesterly at right angles from that part of
Parcel 35 whose centerline bears South 540 5~' ~est; thence North ~4° 57'East along said
production, said line and its northeasterly production, llP0 feet more or less, to the
northwesterly production of a line parallel to and 500 feet distant ~t right angles north-
easterly from that part of ParCel 55 whose centerline bears North 55v 05' West; thence
South 550 05' East along said mentioned production and said line, 990 feet more or less,
to the northwesterly production of a line parallel to and 500 feet distant at right angles
northeasterly from parcels 58 and 84 and that part of Parcel 55 whose cent~rline bears
North 74° 54' West; thence South ?4° 34' .East along said last mentioned production and
said line, 1560 feet more or less to the westerly line of the right of way of the South-
ern Pacific Company, s Bay Shore Cut-off; thence southerly along said right ~f way line
505 feet more or less .to the northeast corner of Parcel 58; thence South 74v 54' East
106.54 feet; thence South 75° 48' 15" East 41§.5 feet, more or less, to the easterly
line of the road formerly the County road from San Bruno to South San ~ranSisco; thence
southerly along said easterly line of the road South 40 04' We~t 262.00 feet and South
Io 14' 80" West 107,59 feet; thence leaving said line South 88v 45' 50" East 155 feet;
thence South 1c 14' 50" West 258.55 feet; thence South 550 .36' 4'5" East 14~.40 feet to
the most northerly corner of Parcel 52; thence North 88° 52' 42" East along the southerly
line of the lands of the City and County of San Francisco 144.44 feet to the southeast
corner of s~id lands; thence North ll° 50' 56" East along the southeasterly line of said
lands, 555.6 feet more or less, to the northwesterly production of a line parallel to and
500 feet~d?tant at right angles northeasterly from that part of Parcel 52 that bears

duction and along said line, 2550 feet more or less, to the weeterly line of the right
of way of the Sierra and San Frsncisco Power' Company; thence southwesterly ~long said

north line of Section 54, Township 5 South, Range 5 West, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian;
thence North 890 58' 55" East parallel to and l0 feet distant at right angles northerly
from said line of Section 54, 4190.10 feet more or less, to the northeast corner of
Parcel l; thence South Ac 28' 55" West along the easterly line of P~rcel l, 10.05 feet
to the northerly line of said Section 54 said line being also the Corporate Limits line of
the City of South San Francisco; thence in a general westerly ~.~nd northerly direction
along said Corporate Limits line to the point of beginning.
Also beginning at the point of intersection of the northwesterly line of
Second Street, as it is shown on that map entitled "Section West of Railroad of the Town
of Baden, Part of Rancho Burl Buri, San Mateo County, Cal,", filed ~for record in Volume "E"
of Maps at page 62, San Mateo County Records, and the northeasterly line of E1 Camino Real;
thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of E1 Camino Real and Mission Road,
400.36 feet, more or less, to the northwes, terly line of lo~ 52, Block l, as said lot and
block are shown on the aforementioned map, thence south 50 15' west along the district
boundary 67 feet, more or less, to the corporate limits line of the City of South San
Francisco; thence following said corporate limits line, southeasterly and northeasterly
to the point of beginning.
Said land being the portion of the district described in said specifications
which is situated within the corporate boundaries of the City of South San Francisco.
4. That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the commence~uent
of a proceedings for said proposed acquisition and improvement by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of San Mateo and .to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction by said Board of
Supervisors over all proceedings ne'cessa~y thereto for the purpose of consummating the
same, all in accordance with the provisions of the "Acquisition and Improvement Act of
1925."
5. That the Clerk of said City of South San Rrancisco is hereby directed to
certify and deliver a copy of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of said County
of San Mateo,

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco, this 21st day of August, 1950, by the following vote:
