F~ESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABATE WEEDS 1951-
LOS CE~RITOS TRACT.
~VHEPJ~AS weeds are now growing upon the streets of the City of
South San Francisco designated as follows:
~ The portions of A Street, B. Street, C Street and D Street
extending southerly from the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Co-
mpany and the portions of 1st S, treet, 2nd Street and Zrd Street, extending
westerly from said right of way, excepting all stree~t intersections with said
A Street, B Street, C Street, D Street, 1st Street, 2nd Street and Zrd Strut;
and
Whereas said weeds have attained such a large growth as to
become a fire manace when said weeds shall become dry and the same are
dangerous;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco that th~ weeds growing on all the portions of the streets hereinbefore
described be, and the same hereby are declared to be a public nuisance, and
that it is the intention of said City Council to order said nuisance to be
abated. Said City Council hereby de. termines and declares that said nuisance
exists in front of the following described property, all of which is situate
in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Nateo, State of .California,
and particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Lots one (1), two (2), three (S), five (5), seven (?] nine

twenty-one 121} and twenty-three (23), in block one Il); lots four 14) to
ten Il0) inclusive, in block two (2): 10ts four 14) to ten (10) inclusive,

thirty-one IS1) and thirty-two 152), in block four (A); lots one (l~, two
(2), four (4), six (6), eight (8}, ten (10], twelve (12), fourteen (14], six-
teen (16],eighteen (18), twenty (2(], twenty-two (2~, twenty-four (24), twenty-
six (26), twenty-eight (28), thirty (50], and thirty-two (52], in block five
(5]; lots one (1}, two (2}, four (4), six (6), eight 18], ten (10], twelve

(14), sixteen (16], eighteen (18], twenty (20), twenty-two (22), twenty-four
(24) and twenty-six (26), in block ten (10):all lots in block eleven (ll);
all lots in block twelve (12]] and all lots in block thirteen (15); all as
shown upon that certain map entitled "Section west of railroad of the town
of Baden", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Mateo, California, November 50, 1891, in Volume. "E" of ~laps
at page 62;
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to cause
to be conspicuously posted in front of ~.ll property in front of which said
nuisance exists, and not more than one hundred (100) feet in distance apart
but not less than three (5) in all, notices headed "Notice to Destroy Weeds"
in the manner and form required by law.
All of the herein proposed work of abating said nuisance
sha~ll be done in pursuance of ~n act of the Legislature of the State of
California entitled "An act authorizing municipalities to declare noxious
or dar:gerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks, or upon private~
property within municipalities, to be.a public ngisance, creating a lien
u~on the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks or upon which such
nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same," approved ~ay 26, 1915.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was re-
gularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Pran:':isco, this 1st dzy of June, 1951, by the following vote:
