REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTUAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MPA
DESIGN CONSULTANTS TO PROVIDE A LANDSCAPE/STREETSCAPE PLAN FOR
AIRPORT BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, several months ago the City Council requested that the staff
examine methods to improve the appearance of development along the northerly
extension of the Airport Boulevard corridor; and
WHEREAS, these improvements will indicate a dramatic change in the
appearance of the street upon entering the City limits thereby providing a
dramatic difference in the quality and visual impact as a "statement" ie: "you
are now entering the City of South San Francisco".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of South San Francisco that:
The Executive Director is hereby authorized to prepare and execute
a contractual services agreement between the Agency and Michael Painter and
Associates to develop landscape and streetscape design plans for anticipated
improvements to Airport Boulevard extending for Sister Cities Boulevard to
Grand Avenue.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held on the Z3rd day of October , 1996 by the
following vote:
AYES: Boardmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Eugene R. Mullin, John R.
P~nna, Robert Yee and Chairman Jack Drago
