A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OPPOSING THE G~NTING OF
PE~ISSION T0 CONSTRUCT ~D 0PE~TE AN ADDITION-
AL ~CE TP~CE IN SAN ~TE0 COUNTY.
W~S the 0ity Co~cil of the City of South San Francisco has been in-
formed that sn application has been ~de to the Board of Supervisors of
the Co~ty of San ~teo for a pe~it to construct undoperate a tr~ck for horse-
racing in the southerly portion of said Co~ty of San ~teo: and
~¥HEREAS in the opinion of said City Council an additions1 race track for
such purposes will not serve the best interests of the County of San Mateo;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said
City Council opposes the construction and operation of any additional race track
in the County of San I~ateo and hereby respectfully request~ that any application
to said Board of Supervisors for permission to construct and operate such addition-
al race track be denied.
