HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 373-1932.~ 73 A RESOLUTION 0F THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GRANTING TO SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO LAND AND IMPROVEM~T COMPANY ~ER- MISSION TO LAY WATER PIPES IN' CERTAIN STREETS. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that. permission be, and the same hereby is granted'to South San Francisco Land and Improvement Com- pany, a corporation, its successors and assigns, to lay 'and constrict, repair, re- construct, maintain and operate beneath the surface of the earth at the locations hereinafter mentioned in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California.. pipes f6r the purpose of carrying and transmitting water. Said pipes shall be laid and contructed and at all times shall be maintained in such a manner as to not inte~rfere ~,,ith the use of any part of land, in and through which the same may be laid and constructed, by the public for any public use, and also in such a manner tha,t thee same will not interefere with the exercise of any easement now owned in any of the ~and hereinafter referred to, by any person, persons, or public cor- poration or phlvate corporation. In laying and constructing ant such pipes, said ,~outh San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, its successors and assigns, shall strictly observe all ordinances and regulations of said City of South San Francisco governing the digging of trenches in streets and highways in said City and the backfilling of the same, and shall provide for the protection of persons and property from injury arising from the digging of such trenches. The permission granted in this resolution shall allow said South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, its successors and assigns, to lay such water pipes in locations as follows: 1. Across the portion of Linden Avenue between the southerly line of Railroad Avenue and a line drawn at right angles t~ the c&nter line of Linden Avenue three hundred (ZO0) feet westerly from the intersection of said Linden Avenue with the westerly boundary line of the right of way of the Bayshore line of the Southern Pac i fi c Company. 2. All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the ,City of South San Francisco, County of San l~ateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows, -to-wit: ~ A strip of land ten (10) feet in width and lying five (5) feet on each side of the following described centerline to-wit: BEGINNING at a point in the easterly line of the right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Company, in the City of South San Francisco said point being distant North 1Z° 20' 16" East 473.31 feet and North 58o ~l' 14" West 105.~? feet from a granite monument designated as Mon. ~6 set in the center of San Bruno Road, as shown on that certain map entitled, "Survey of a portion of the B,~ri Burl Rancho etc. for P. E. Iller etc." recorded March 10, 1891, in Vol. E of Maps at page 79, San Mateo County Records. R~NN1NG ~thence from said point of beginning South 58o 41' 14" East 5.00 feet; thence parallel and distant 5 feet easterly from the Southern Pacific Company right- of-way on a curve to the right having a radius of 5316.56 feet a distance of 65.00 feet, the chord of said curve bearing North 31° 28' 14" East 65.00 feet; thence South 54° 31' 15" East 11.39 feet to a point on the easterly boundary line of San Bruno Road. ~. The portion of Swift Avenue lying between the southerly side of the por- tion of said Swift Avenue now occupied by the track of Sout~ San Francisco Railroad and Power Company, a corporation, and the northerly edge of the gutter on the south side of said Swift Avenue and extending from the easterly line of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Company to the northerly production of the easterly line of'that certain 2.202 acre tract conveyed by South San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, to W'estern ~eat Company, a corporation, by deed recorded April 16, 1917, in Book 261 of Official Records at page ZOO and described as Parcel "B". ~n the office of the County Recorder of said County of S~n Mateo. -,-,-,--,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 15th day of February, 1932, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen V.
