Resolved by the City Council of the' City of South San Francisco that
permissioa be, and the same hereby is granted to R. C, 8tickle and to his assigas,
to establish, maintain and operate a dog race track for the period of five (5)
years following the date hereof, in the portion of said City of 5curb San Fran-
oiloo lying South of the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company,
~&st of Orange AVenue F, xtenelOn, andlsst from Linden Aveaue, but~ under 8uo~ reason-
able regulation~ as may be hereafter adopted by an ordinance of said Clt~ Council,
During the first year of the continuance of said term said R. C. ~tickle
ami his assiga~ shall pay to said City the sum of Twenty. five Dollars ($25.(10} each
day as & lice~e tax on the maintenance and operation of such dog race track and the
business ~hereof, which license tax shall be payable each day in advance, And for
the remainder of said period of five (6) years, the license tax shall be such amount
as ~nay be fixed by said City Council by ordinance.
