CHEVROLET AUTOMOBILE FOR THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FPJkNCISCO
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that public interest and convenience require that said City should purchase a
Chevrolet automobile of the type designated as 19~ Model Standard Coupe. Said
automobile shall have a wheel base of one hundred and ten $110) inches in length
and shall be equipped with bumpers, tire lock and five (61 ~:2~x18 balloon tires,
either Goodyear, Goodrich or U. B. P~oyal make. The motor shall be of the six
(6) cylinder valve-in-head type, with positive pressure feed to crank shaft main
bearings, cam sh~ft bearings and valve rocker arms. Said automobile shall be
equipped w~th Vane type pump in crank case, oil ?ressure guage in instrument panel
crank case ventilator syncro mesh silent second design. ~
The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded for such Chevrolet
automobile shrill purchase of s~id City of South ~an Francisco the Ford Roadster

now owned by sa~d ity of South $~n Francisc~ and used in the fire det,artment of
said City, and the~sum of money offered for s~id ~'ord Coupe shall be a~plied on
the p~rchase price for the Chevrolet automobile to be acquired.
The City Clerk of said City of ~outh San Francisco is hereby
directed to publish for two ~2) weeks in "The E~terprise and the South San Fran-
cisco Journal", a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said
City of South San Francisco, the following notice invitln~ sea]ed rroposaYs or

Each bidder shall, in conjunction with his bid, offer to purchase
the Ford Roadster now owned by said City of South San Francisco and used in the fire
deyartr~ent in said city. The amount of said offer shall be a!;plied upon the pur-
chsse price of such Chevrolet automobile in the event of an award of contract pur-
suant to this notice, and a transfer of said Ford Roudster, now owned by s~id City
to the successful bidder. No bid shall be considered, by sa~d City Council ~mless
the same is ~.~ccompanied by ~n offer to purchase the Ford Roadster now owned by said
City.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to said City of South
San Francisco on or before 7:30 o'clock p. m. on l~onday, the 20th day of I~arch,
19Z~.
All sealed ,proposals or bids'will be opened by said City Council
in public session on l~onday, the 20th day of I~arch, 19JZ, at the hour of 7:Z0 o'clock
p.m. at the Council Chamber of said ~ity Council.
