RESOLUTION ON ~0Ei~iATIOE OF HARBOE DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the ~an ~ateo County Harbor Committee has caused to be
circulated a petJ. tion for the formation of a harbor district which petition
has been published together with notice of hearing on said petition, in
accordance with the Act of 19~1, and
WHEREAS, the formation of such harbor district is ~ most im¥ortant
and essential step in the program of industrial development to whichthis
conference is devoted,and
WHF~RF_J.$, the formation of a ha~or district does not involve s~ny
cost or financial committment to the county, and
WHEPt~A8 federel harbor authorities have advised that our position
with the government will be greatly improved by the l'or~ation o£ a legal
harbor distr~ct;
NOW T;tEEE~0RE BE IT RE~OLVED, that the City of ~outh ~an Francisco
endorses the action of the Harbor Committee ~nd urges the Board of Supervisors
o~" ~sn Mateo Co~mt2 to p~ss a ~uitab~e resolution placing the ~rcposition before
the voters of this co~mty at ~ special state election now tentatively set for
June 27, 19Z~. ~
