RESOZVED~by th~ City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco that public
interest and convenience require that said city should purahase for the use of said
City ~of South San l~ra~cisco a Ford V 8 Chassis with 131'1/2 inch wheel base truck with
closed cab and hydraulic dump body with dual.wheels and over-load springs and tires
six (6) inches by twenty ~20) inches.
The bidder to whom the contrac~ will.be awarded for such Ford truck shall
purchase of said city the Ford dump truck now owned by said City of South San Francisco
and used in the street department ~0f said city, and the sum of money offered for said
last mentioned Ford dump truck shall ~e applied upon the purchase price for the Ford
truck to be acquired for said city.
The City Clerk fo said City of South San Francisco is hereby directed to
publish for two weeks in "The Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal", a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said City of South San
Francisco, the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing a

Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco until ~:ZO o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 19th day of ~arch, 19S1, for
furnishing a Ford V 8 truck to said City of 3outh San Francisco, County of San Mateo,
State of California. Such truck shall be of the type designated as Ford V 8 Chassis
with 181 1/2 inch wheel base truck with closed cab and hydraulic dump body with dual
wheels and over-load springs and tires six ~6) inches by twenty (201 inches.
Each bidder shall, in conjunction with hi~ bid, offer to purchase the Ford
dump truck now owned by said City of 3outh San Francisco and now ~sed in the street
department of said city. The amount of such offer shall be applied upon the purchase
price of such Ford truck in the event of an award of contract, pursuant to this notice,
and a transfer of said Ford dump truck now owned by said City to the successful bidder.
No bid will be considered by said City Council unless the same is accompanied
by an offer to purchase the Ford dump truck now owned by said city.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or before
7:80 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 19th day of March, 19~. All sealed proposals or
bids will be opened by said City Council in public session on Monday, the 19th day of
M~rch, 19Z&, at 7:ZO o'clock p. m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of said City.
