HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 451-1934 430 A RES0~UTION 0F THE CITY C0lrNCI~ OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING for holding A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION IN SAID CITY ON THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1934. RE~0LVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco that, for the purpose of holding the general municipal election in said City on the 9th day of April, 1934, as provided by law, said City be, and the same hereby is divided into four (4) election precincts to be known as Consolidated Voting Precinct "A", Consolidated Voting Precinct "B", Consolidated Votin~ Precinct "C" and Consolidated Voting Precinct "D", respectively. Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 1, South San Francisco Precinct 1~o. 2, and South San Francisco Precinct No. 4, as established by that Certain resolution entitled "Resolution and order dividin~ San Mateo County into election precincts and establishing the boundaries thereof," passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, California, November 16, 1931,and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" shall be in Brawn's Garage at No. 628 5~iller Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco. Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 5, South San Francisco Precinct No. 6 and South San Francisco Precinct No. ?, as established by said resolution of the Board of $upervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Con- solidated Voting Precinct "B" shall be in the store room at No. 473 Grand Avenue in said City. Consolidated Voting Precinct "C"~ shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 3, South San Francisco Precinct No. 8 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 9, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San ~ateo, and the polling place for said~C°ns°lidated Voting Precir. ct "C" shall be at No. 219 Linden Avenue, in said City. Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" shall include all the territory described in ~outh San Francisco Precinct No. 10, South San Francisco Precinct No. ll and Bouth San Francisco Precinct No. 12,, as established by sai8 resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" shall be in the store room at No. 513 Linden Avenue in said City. 'A sufficient number of ballots shall be and is hereby directed to be prepared and caused to be printed for said precincts as provided by law and upon the ~oper kind of .paper, to-wit: the same as used at the general elections in the State of California, by the Clerk of the City of South San Francisco and shall be furnished and provided for the use of the voters at said general election. The City Clerk is hereby also directed to procure the necessary voting booths and see that they are properly erected and to secure all necessary election materials and supplies required by law. Said City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said election by publicatiOn thereof once in ~'The Enterprise and the South San Francisco Jourmal", a newspaper of general cireulation, published and circulated in'said City, in the manner and form required by /aw. -,-,--,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-, I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 9th day of March, 19J4, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
