RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C01/N~IT.
O~ THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO EXPRESSING OONDOL~NCE
ON THE DEATH OF GOVERNOR
Whereas it has pleased Almighty Rd in His infinite wisdom to remove from this
life Governor James Rolph. Jr.; and
Whereas Governor Rolph was an outatanding citizen of 0alifornia by reason of his
integrity.his intense patriotism and his sincere desire to help his fellow man and for
many years faithfully served his city and the State of California;
Resolved by the City Council of the City of South ~an ~ranctsoo ,that this city
publicly express the deep regret of this community at the passing of Governor Relph and
its sympathy to the members of his bereaved family in their hour of sorrow.
I hereby certify that the foregoing reso-lution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the Cit~ of South San Francisco, this ~ day of June,
19~4, by the following vote;-
