CALIFC~NIA HIGHWAY COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of ChApter 76? of the Statutes of 193S, the Depart~
of Public Works of the State of California is authorized to expend annually from the St
highway fund an amount equal to one quarter of one per, cent per gaLlon~ tax on motor
vehicle fuel, after the proportionate payments therefrom into the "~uel tax enforoemenl
fund" and after 1the proportionate refunds shall have been made, within the incorporated
cities and freeholder charter cities, and any city and county in the State of Californt
for the pruposes specified in said chapter, and in the manner provided by law, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of said Chapter 767, and in accord-
anco with the provisions of Sections 565r and J65y of the Political Code (Chapter 5E6
o~ the Statutes ~of 195~), the Department of Public Works, acting by and through the
California Highway Commission, has designated as a State highway the following describe
streets in the
CITY OF SOUTH SAN ~RANCIS0o,: ~an Mateo County ~
Route 68. Through South San ~rancisco. 2.~1 miles
Beginning at the northerly city limits of South San ~rancisco on Sta~e
Highway Route 68, thence southerly over San Bruno Road and the Bay Shore Highway
to the Southerly city limits on State Highway Rout® 68, a distance of 2.51 miles,
more or lees, within the corporate limits of South San ~rancisco;
which said streets are existing travelable streets in the City of South San Francisco,
and approximately on the route of the authorized State highway, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and the 0alifornia Highway Commission
have re~ueSted the City of South San Francis, co to approve the routing hereinbefore de-
scribed and to agree to resume Jurisdiction over said city streets, or portions thereof
as may not be included in the State Highway, when the same is laid out, adopted, and
constructed, therefore
BE IT RES0~VED, by the City Council of the City of South Sam ~rancisco, acting
on behalf of said city, that said city approve, and it does hereby approve, the routing
of said State Highway;
that upon the relinquishment of said streets, or any portion thereof, to the
City of South San ~rancisco in the manner provided by law, said city agree, and does
hereby agree to resume Jurisdiction over said streets, or portion thereof, so relin-
quished.
