P0R THE
CItY OF SOUTH ~ FRANCISCO
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Prancisco t~at
public interest ~and convenience require that said city should purchase for the use
of said City of South San Francisco a Dodge Four Door, 6 Cylinder Sedan, 19~5 model,
having a ll6 inch wheelbase, a steel body and five 16 inches by 6 inches air wheel
tires. ~aid automobile shall be fully equipped.
The bidder to whom the contract will be awarded for~said Dodge Sedan
shall purchase of said city the Buick Sedan now or, ned by said City and used in the
Police Department of said city and the sum of money offered for said last mentioned
Buick Sedan shall be applied upon the purchase price of said Dodge Automobile to be
req~tired by said city.
The Clerk of said City of South San Francisco is hereby directed to
'publish for two weeks in "The Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal", a
newsp.aper of general circulation, printed and published in said City of South San
FraUCisco, the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing
a Dodge Sedan:
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS POR
FURNISHING A DODGE AUT0I~0BILE TO T~ CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of
South ~an Francisco until 8:00 o'clock p. m. on ~onday, the ESth day of January,
19~5, for furnishing a Dodge Four Door, 6 Cylinder Sedan, 1955 model, having a ~
ll6 inch wheelbase, a steel body and five 16 inches by 6 inches air wheel tires.
Said automobile shall be fully e~uipped.
Each bidder shall, in conjunction with his bid, offer to purchase
the Buick Sedan now owned by said City of South San Francisco and now used in
the Police Department of said city. The amount of such offer shall be applied
upon the purchase price of such Dodge Sedan in the event of an award of contract,
pursuant to this notice, and a transfer o£ said Buick Sedan now owned by said city to
the successful bidder.
No bid will be considered by said City Council unless the same is
accompanied by an offer to purchase said Buick Sedan now owned by said City.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the City Clerk on or
before 8:00 o'clock p. m. on I~onday, the ~Sth day of January, 1955, All sealed
proposals or bids will be oS~bned by said City Council in public session on Monday
the ~Sth day of January, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock p. m. in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall of said city. The City Council hereby reserves the right to re-
ject any and all bids.
