RESOLUTION FAVORING RETURN OF WATERFRONT
TO THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN ~RANCISC0o
WHEREA3 the City and County of San Francisco has requested the Leg$-
lature of the State of California to enact legislation to cause the waterfront
of said City and County of San ~rancisce be returned to said City and County ~y
aPpropriate legislation; and
WHEREAS the City Counc'il of the City of South San Francis~co believes
!,hat the waterfront of said CitY and County of San Francisco, if returned to said
City and County, will be managed in such a way as to serve the best interests of
the public and that the control of s aid waterfront by said ~City and~ County will
serve the advantages of commerce in said City and County of San Francisco and the
County of San Mateo; ~
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco that
said City Council hereby approves said application for the return of said water-
front to said City and County of San Francisco and hereby requests Senator~Harry L.
Parkn~_~ and Assemblyman Frederick Peterson to support any bill in the Legislature
of the State of California designed to effect such return of said w~aterfront.
BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that copy o£ this resolution be sent to said
Senator Harry L. ~Parkman and that a copy thereof be sent to Assemblyman ~rederick
]~eters on.
