WHEI~EA~ said weeds have attained such a large growth as to become a fire menace when
said weeds shall become dry an~ are dangerous;
RES0~VED by the City Council of the City of South San ~ranctseo that the,weeds growing
on all the portiofis of-the streets hereinbefore described be, an~ the same hereby are declared to
be a public nuisance and that it is the intention of said City Council to order said nuisance to be
abate~[;
Said City Council hereby determines and~ declares that said nuisance exists in front
of the following described property, all of which is situate in the City of South San ~rancisco,

The map last hereinbefore referred .to is that certain map entitled "Section west of
Railroad of the town of Baden", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Marco, California, November 30, 1891, in Volume "E" of Maps at page 62;
There is excepted from the streets and avenues hereinbefore described, all paved
portions thereof and all sidewalk areas and areas of existing driveways which are covered with
concrete or other sidewalk material. There is also excepted from said streets and avenues the
portions thereof from which Weeds have been removed since the 15th day of April, 19~5, and also
the portions of said streets and avenues upon which, for any cause, weeds are not now growing.
There is also excepte~ from the land hereinbefore described all land in front of which the entire
area between the curb and corresponding property line is covered by a sidewalk, and also all land
in front of which weeds have been removed since the 15th day of April, 19~5, and all land in front
of which weeds are not now growing and do not now exist.
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted in
front of all property in front of which said nuisance exists, and not more than one hundred (100T
feet in distance apart, but not less than three (~) in all, notices headed "Notice to Destroy Weeds"
in the maunder and form required by law.
All of the herein proposed work of abating said nuisance shall be done in pursuance of
an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act authorizing municipalities, to
declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks, or upon private property
with municipalities, to be a public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such
streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same", approved

The map last hereinbefore referred .to is that certain map entitled "Section west of
Railroad of the town of Baden", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Marco, California, November S0, 1891, in Volume "E" of Maps at page 6£;
There is excepted from the streets and avenues hereinbefore described, all paved
portions thereof and all sidewalk areas and areas of existing driveways which are covered with
concrete or other sidewalk material. There is also excepted from said streets and avenues the
portions thereof from which weeds have been removed since the 15th day of April, 1965, and also
the portions of said streets and avenues upon which, for any cause, weeds are not now growing,
There is also excepted from the land hereinbefore described all land in front of which the entire
area between the curb and corresponding property line is covered by'a sidewalk, and also all land
in front of which weeds have been removed since the l~th day of April, 1965, and all land in front
of which weeds ~re not now growin~ and do not now exist.
The Superintendent of Streets is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted in
front of all property in front of which said nuisauce exists, and not more than one hundred (100)
feet in distance apart, but not less than three tS) in all, notices headed "Notice to Destroy Weeds"
in the maunder and form required by law.
All of the herein proposed work of abating said nuisance shall be done in pursuance of
an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act authorizing municipalities, to
declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon the streets or sidewalks, or upon private property
-- with municipalities, to be a public nuisance, creating a lien upon the property fronting upon such
streets or sidewalks or upon which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same", approved
