V~REAS San Mateo County Council The American Legion has sponsored a uniform
emergency disaster and relief call to consist of ten (10) blasts repeated twice; and
WHE~ public advantage and convenience will be served by the adoption
of such a call;
RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that a
uniform disaster and relief call to consist of ten blasts of the diaphone horn repeat-
ed twice, be, and the same hereby is adopted for use in the event of such emergency dis-
aster. Said call shall be known as the "American Legion Disaster and Relief call."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Cou~cil of the City of South San Francisco this 21st day of
October, 1935, by the following vote:
