HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 587-1936RESOLUT~0N AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF 0~ QUARTER CENT GAS TAX ~ND FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Section 194 and Section 1954 of the Streets and Highways Code, the Department of Public Works of the Stat e of Calif ornia shall expend~or'cause to be expended within the cities of this state from the State Highway Fund, an amount equal to the net revenue derived from one-qua rter cent per gallon of tax on motor vehicle fuel, upon streets of major importance other than State Highways as are agreed upon ~by -s aid Department of Public works of the State of California and the legislative body of the city, in the proportion that the total population of each city bears to the total population of all cities in this state; RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city enter into an agreement with the State of California Department of Public Works for the expenditure of the one-quarter cent Gas Tax Fund for streets of major im- portance in said city for the 88th fiscal year. The mayor of said city and the city clerk are hereby authorized and directed, in the name of said City of South San Francisco and under its corporate seal, to execute the agreement hereby authorized. -O-O- O-O-O~O-O-O-O-O- O--O- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco on the 2nd day of November, 1936, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
