WHEREAS the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, in
open session, on the 21st day of June, 193V, publicly open, examine and
declare all sealed proposa!s~ or bids for furnishing the said city a Buick
automobile designated as Buick 8, model 61, f~lly equipped and havingfive
wheels and five six ply heavy duty tires and covers for the upholstering;
RESOLVED that said city council hereby rejects all said proposals
or bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the con-
teact for furnishing such Buick automobile to said City of South San Fran-
cisco, to Howard Buick Company at the price name in its bid, to-wit: Four-
teen Hundred and Thirty-one and 44/100 Dollars ($1~1.~4).
This award is made upon the condition that the bidder hereinbefore
mentioned shall purchase from said city the Buick automobile now owned by
said city, and used in the police department of said city, which automobile
is designated by engine No. 63122349, for the sum of Six Hundred and Seventy
six and 80/100 Dollars ($676.80), and that the amount of said purchase price
last hereinbefore mentioned shall be applied upon the purchase price for the
Buick automobile for which the contract is awarded in this resolution.
Said Howard Buick Company will be required to transfer the siren, red
light and spot light from the Buick aut?omobile, which he has offered to pur-
chase from said city, to the Buick automobile for the purchase of which by
said city the contract is hereby awarded. The work of trans letting said
siren, red light and spot light is included in the purchase price to be
paid by said city under such contract.
The Mayor of said city and the city clerk are hereby authorized and
directed, in the name of said City of South San Francisco and under its cor-
porate seal, to enter into an agreement with the bidder to whom said con-
tract is hereby awarded for the purchase of said new Buick automobile by said
City of South San Francisco, and for the sale t~ said bidder of said Buick
automobile now owned by said city, and also to execute, in behalf of said
city, such docume~s as are necessary to transfer to said bidder the title
to said Buick automobile now owned by said citye

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 21st
day of June, 193~, by the following vote:
