HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 620-1937126 REEOLUTION~ AWIRDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF E STORM WATER SEWER IN GRAND AVENUE AND LINDEN AVENUE, ~hereas the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session on the 7th day of September, 1957, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said city, to-wit: The construction of a storm water sewer in Grand Avenue be~tween Maple Avenue and Linden Avenue and in Linden Avenue between Grand Avenue and a point eight~hundred and three (805) feet south from Railroad Avenue; Resolved by the City Council of the City of South San. Francisco that said City Council hereby rejects all said bids, except that next here- after mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit, W. J. Tobtn at the prices named in his bid, to wit: 12 inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer, Two and 18/100 Dollars ($2.18) per lineal foot. l§ inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer, Two and 79/100 Dollars ($2.79) per lineal foot. 21 inch diameter reinforced con- crete pipe storm sewer, Four Dollars ($4.00) per lineal foot. Z4 inch diameter reinforced con- crete pipe storm sewer, Five Dollars ($8.00) per lineal foot. 50 inch diameter reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer, Five and lB/100 ($8.12) per lineal foot. Concrete collar around Z4 inch storm sewer, Fifteen Dollars ($1§.00) per cubic yard. 9 brick manholescapped with cast iron frames and covers, Ninety Dollars ($90.00) per manhole. 1 brick catch basin capped with cast- iron frame and stating, Eighty-Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($~7.50) per catch basin. 2 brick catch basins capped with salvaged cast-iron frames and gratings, Sixty-Seven and 50/100 Dollars ($67.80) per catch basin. 2 special catch basins with cast-iron frames and covers,. Eighty Dollars ($80.00) per catch basin. 5 closings of existing concrete pipes with brick plugs, Two Dollars ($2.00) per p~ug. Salvaging of cast-iron frames and gratings and the filling of catch basins, Ten Dollars ($10.00) per catch basin. Removal of concrete gutter, Ten (10) cents per square foot. Removal of concrete sidewald, Seven (7) cents per s~uare foot. Removal of pavement, Eleven (11) cents per square foot. Replacement of concrete gutter, TwentY-five (28) cents per square foot. Replacement of concrete sidewalk, Seventeen cents per square foot. Replacement of pavement with concrete base course and asphaltic concrete wearing surface, Thirty- Five (58)cents per square foot. All work herein provided for shall be performed strictly in ac- cordance with the plans and specifications for said work adopted by said City Council on the 17th day of August, 1957. The mayor and the city clerk are hereby authorized and directed, in the name of ~aid city and under its seal, to excute the contract hereby awarded. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly in- troduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 20th day of September, 195~, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
