HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 663-1938RESOLUTION APPOINTING ~ILLIAM, HENRY ~)WE A~TECT TO PREPARE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ~ISR FTRE HOUSE RESOLVED by the city council of the City of So uth San Francisco that William Henry Rowe be, and he is hereby employed t o prepare and fur- nish to said city plans and specifications for the cons truction of a fire house for said city upon the following understaning: 1. Said William Henry Rowe shall prepare an application to the United States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works for financial aid for the construction of such fire house and all plans, specifications and estimates necessary to submit to the electorsc~ said city the question of issuing the bonds of said city to pay a part of the co-st of constr~tng such fire house. 2. In the event that the electors of said city shall not vote in favor of the issuance of such bonds, or in the event that said city council shall decide, for any reason, not to construct such fire house, said William Henry Rowe shall receive the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) in full satisfaction for all services rendered by him to said city. 3. In the event that the electors of said city shall authorize the issuance of such bonds and financial aid shall be received from the United States of America, or authorized by the United States of America, for the construction of said fire house, and said city council shall decide to proceed with the construction of such fire house, said William Henry Rowe shall prepare and furnish to said city all plans and specifications for the construction of such fire house and shall supervise the construction of the same. He shall receive as compensation for all such services, an _-mount equal to six per cent (6~) of the cost of the const~'uction of such building, which amount shall include the cost of the preliminary work hereinbefore mentioned. -0-0-0-0-0- 0-0-0- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted .by the city council of the city of South San Francisco this ~Oth day of July, 1938, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
