HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 677-1938RECREATION CENTEE BUILBINGS~.~ ~ '! ~ the City' of ~outh San Francisco,, a municipal .corporaticm in the County of San Marco, State of California, has no recretation center buildings, or sw~m~tng tank; RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council does hereby detexm~ine that public interest and necessity demand the acquisition, construction a~d completion by said City of South San F~ancisco, a muni- cipal cox-potation, of recr~e.ation center buildings, including a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment, that the acquisition, construction and completion of said recreation center buildings, including a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment, are convenient and necessary to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of sai~ city; that the estimated cost of the acquisition, construction and completion of s~' recreation center buildings,, including a swimming.t, ank, appu~t..enances and equipment, is On® Hundred and Eighty-seven Thousand Dollars (~187,000e00), that the cost of the acquisition, construction and ~mpletion of said recreation buildings, includXng a swiping tank, appurtenances and equipment, will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said c_ity of South San Francisco, and will, in addition to the other expenditures of said city of South San Francisco, excee~ the income and revenue for any one year; that it is the intention of said city council to call a special election for the purpose of su2m~tting~ to the qualified electors of said city of South San F~ancisco the proposition of incu~ring a debt in the sum of One Hundred and Thixteen Thousand Dollars ($113,000.00) for the purpose of acquiring,~ constructing'and completing such .~ecreation center, buildings, including a sw~_mm~g tank, appurtenances .and equipment, that said sum of One Hundred and Thirteen Thousand Dollars ~$113,000.00) will be too ~reat to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said city of South an Francisco, and will, in addition to the other expenditures of said City of South San Francisco~ exceed the income and revenue for any one yea~e ' I hereby certify that the foregoing resolutign was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the City of South San Francisco t.~t~.s 18th day. 9f August, 1938, by the following vote, the same being not less than two thix~is of all members of said city council: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen V.
