%~A~ the Oity of South S~n F~ancisco, a municipal corporation in the 0ounty of San
M&teo, State of California, has no recreation center buildings, or swimming tank;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San. Francisco that .aid city council
does hereby determine that public interest and necessity d~maud the acquisition, construction
and completion by said City. of iSouth San .Francisco, a municipal corporation, of recreation
center buildings., including a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment; Shat the acquisition,
construction and completion of said recreation center buildings, includ .Lug a swimming tank,
appurtenances and equipment, are convenient and necessary to carry out the objects, purposes
and powers of said city; that the estimated cost of the acquisition, construction and comple-
tion of said recreation center buildings, including a sw~imming tank. appurtenances and equip-
ment, is One Hundred and Eighty-seven Thousand Dollars {$187,000.00); that the cost of the
ac~uisition, comstructton and completion of said recreation center buildings, including swim-
ming tank, appurtenances and equipm~ent,o will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary
annual imcome and revenue of said City of .South San Francisco, and will, in addition to the
other expenditures of sai~ City of South San Francisco, exceed the income and revenue for any
one year; that it is the intention of said city countil to call a special election for the
purpose of submitting to the qualified, electors of said ~ity of South San FraD. c~sco the pro-
position of incurring, a debt' in the s~m of One Hundred and Thirteen Thousand ($113,000,00)
for the purpose of acquiring, constructing and completing such recreation, center buildings,
including a swimming tank, a~ppurtenances and equipment; that said sum of One Hundred and
Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($113, 000. 00 ) will be too-great to be paid out of the ordinary
annual income and revenue of said City of South San Francisco, and will, in addition to the
other expenditures of said City of South San Francisco, exceed the income and revenue for
any one year.
