Attest: Daniel McSweeney City Clerk (Seal) No. 681 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR HOLDING A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION I~ SAID CITY ON THE 27th DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1938. RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that a special elect- ion be held in said city on the 27th day of September, 1938, for the purpose of submi~ting, and at which election there shall be submitted to t he qualified electors of said city the following propositions: PROPOSITION 1. The acquisition, construction and completion of recreation center buildings, includ- in a swimming tank, appurtenances a nd equipment. PROPOSITION 2. The acquisition, construction and completion of a central fire station and furnishings and equipment for said fire station and the acquisition of the land necessary for such fire station and the acquisition of a combination pumping engine and hose wagon, and the acquis- ition of an aerial ladder truck With a sixty-five (65) foot ladder. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said City Council that, for the purpose of holding said special municipal election, said city be, and the same hereby is divided into five (5). election . ,.precincts to be known as Consolidated Voting Precinct "'A", Consolidated Voting Pre- cinct B ~, Consolidated Voting Precinct "C"', Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" and Consoli- dated Voting Precinct "Ea, respectively. Consolidated Voting Precinct "A''~ shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 1, South San Francisco Precinct No. 2 and South San. Francisco Precinct No. 3, as established by that certain resolution entitled "Resolution and order dividing San Mateo County into~election precincts and establishing boundaries thereof, "passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, California, on the 17th day of November, 1937, and recorded in Volume 34 of the minutes of said Board of Supervisors at page 318 et seq., and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Pre- cinct "A" shall be in Parenti's Garage at No. 123 Orange Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco. Consolidated Voting Precinct "B"' shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 4, South~San Francisco Precinct No. 5 and South San Francisco Pre- cinct No. 6, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct #B" shall be in Cavassa's Garage at No. 478 Baden Avenue, in said city. Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 7, South San Francisco Precinct No. 8 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 11, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors offs aid County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct 'C · shall be in Blondini's Store at No. 513 Linden Avenue, in said city. ~ Consolidated Voting Precinct "D'" shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. 9 and South~San Francisco Precinct No. 12, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" shall be in Bellone's Garage at No. 209 California Avenue, in said city. Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" shall include all the territory described in South San Francisco Precinct No. l0 and South San Francisco Precinct No. 13, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the polling place for said Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" shall be in Capitelli's Office at No. 222 Linden Avenue, in said city. No. 881 (continued) At said special municipal elec~ton the polls in each of said Consolidated Voting Precincts shall be opened at six (8) o'clock a.m. of the day of election and shall be kept open until seven (7) o'clock p.m. of said day, when the polls shall be closed. Said City Clerk'is hereby directed to give notice of said special election by publication thereof once in "The Enterprise and The South San Francisco Journal''~, a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City, in t he.man- ner and f0~m required by law. -O-O-O-O-O-O- O-O-O- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopt- ed by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 24th day of August, 19~8 by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
