RESOLUTION "B"
WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco, a municipalcorporation in the County of
San Marco, State of California, has no recreation center buildings, or swimming tank;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city
council does hereby determine that public interest and necessity demand the acquisition,
construction and completion by said City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation,
of recreation center buildings, including a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment;
that the acquisition, construction and completion of said recreation center buildings, in
cluding a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment, are convenient and necessary to
carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said city; that the estimated cost of the
acquisition, construction and completion of said recreation center buildings, including a
swimmtsg tank, appdrtenances and equipment, is One Hundred and Eighty-seven Thousand Dol-
lars ($187,000.00); that the cost of the acquisition, construction and completion of said
recreation center b~tldings, including a swimming tank, appurtenances and equipment, will
be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and revenue of said City of
South San Francisco, and will, in addition to the other expenditures of said City of Sout!
San Francisco, exceed the income and revenue for any one year; that it is the intention o~
said city council to call a special election for the purpose of submitting to the eualifi~
electors of said City of South San Francisco the proposition of incurring a debt in the
sum of One Hundred and Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($113,000.00) for the purpose of acquir-
ing, constructing and completing such recreation center buildings, including a swimming
tank, appurtenances and e ouipment; that said sum of One Hundred and Thirteen Thousand Dol-
lars ($113,000.00) will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income and re-
venue of said City of South San Francisco, and will, in addition to the other expendi-
tures of said City of South San Francisco, exceed the income and revenue for any one year.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regulary introduced amd~ not.adoPt,
by the city council of the City of South San Francisco this lSth day of October, 19~8,
by the following vote, the same being not less than two-thirds (Z/5) of all members of
said city council:
