HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 707-1938[ RESOLUTION DESIGNATED KEITH FER~JSON TO ~PPEAR IN BEPL~LF OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN SUPPORT OF PI2df TO DREDGE SHIP CHANNEL WHEREAS The City Council of the City Of South San Francisco has been tn- formed that it is proposed to dredge the present ship channel extending in the Bay of San Francisco toward Oyster Point in said city; and WHEREAS the dredging of said channel will aid navigation and commerce in the city of South San Francisco and will serve the advantages of said city and its in- habitants; and '~tEREAS said city council understands that the owner of certain land front- lng upon said channel will convey a portion of said land to said city of South San Francisco for the purposes of wharf and warehouse accommodations, in the event that said channel shall be dredged; RESOLVED by the city council of the city of South San Francisco that said city Council approves the plan for dredging said ship channel and the construction of appropriate wharf and warehouse facilities, and declares that said city council will use every reasgnable effort to finance the construction of such wharf and mrehouse facilities uoon any such land, which may be conveyed to said city, by any means legally within the power of said city. Said city council hereby designates Keith Ferguson to appear in behalf of said city at a meeting of the army engineers to be held in the city of San Francisco on November 2, 1938, to represent said city of South Sam Francisco in support of the plan to dredge said channel. -O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the city of South,San Francisco, this 2nd day of November, 1938, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
