HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 734-1939RESOLUT I0N NO. RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BIDS FOR A USED THREE WHEEL ROAD ROLLER. RESOAVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: That public interest and convenience require that said city should purchase a used three wheel road roller for said city. The city clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice by two (2) insertions in "The Enterprisem, a newspaper of general circulation published in said city, the following notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing a used three (3) wheel raod roller to said city: NOT ICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR FURNISHING A USED THREE WHEEL ROAD ROLLER TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Sealed proposals will be received by the city council of the City of South San Fran- cisco until $:00 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 16th day of October, 1939, for furnishing to said city a used three whell road roller. Such roller shall be factory built and shall be driven by a four~r (4) cylinder gasoline engine. Each bidder shall state the make and model of the roller as to which he bids, the year when such roller was m~_~de, the years during which such roller was used in work, and the location of such roller at the time of offering his bid. The successful bidder shall, in writing, guarantee that the roller, for which his bid is offered, is in good ami workable condition, and free from broken or defective pa~ts. In the event of the acceptance of any bid for such roller, the same shall be delivered to said city, at South San Francisco, California, within three (3) days following the date when such bid may be accepted by said city council. Said city shall have the privilege of one week's trial of the roller offered by the successful bi~der, befor~ accepting the bid of such bidder. Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the city council on or before 8:00 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 16tn day of October, 1939. All sealed proposals or bids will be opened hy the city council in public session on Monday, the 16th day of October, 1939, at 8:00 o'clock p. m. in the council chamber of said city council. The city council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids. By order of the city council of the City of South San Francisco. Dated: October 2, 1939.
