RESOLUTION OF A~ARD OF A LEASE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE
OF ONE 750 GALLON CAPACITY TRIPLE C~I~ATION PUMPING
ENGINE FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHERE~ the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open
session, on the 5th day of September, 19~9, publicly open, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for furnishing to said city one 750 gallon capacity
triple combination pumping engine, ih accordance with the specifications adopted
by said city council on the 14th day of August, 19~9, and now on file in the
office of the city clerk;
RESOLVED that said city council hereby reject all said proposals or bids,
except that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the lease contract
for furnishing the said pumping engine' to' Amerlcan-LaFrance-Foamite Corporation
a corporation for the sume of Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Sixty-six and no/100
Dollars ($9488.00).
The mayor of said city and the city clerk are hereby' authorized and directed,
in the name of said City of South San Francisco and under its corporate seal,
to enter into a lease contract with said American-La France Foamite Coproration
in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
Such lease contract shall provide that said American La France-Foamite
Corporation shall lease said pumping engine to said City of South San Francisco
for a term of four (4) years at an annual rental, to be paid in advance, as
follows: One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00),' to be paid when the said pumping
engine shall be delivered to said city; Two Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-two
Dollars ($2822.00) on the 2nd day of January in each of the years 1941, 1942,
1948. The deferred installn~ents of such annual rental shall bear interest at
the rate of four (4) per cent per annum, payable annually at~ the times when said
installments of said rental are payable.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this 18th
day of October, 1939, by the following vote:
