HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 742-1939 __ _~ ....... ~ 'l'n~ YACATION OF A PORTION OF OLIVE ~VENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FEANCISC0 RESOLUTION OF !~TENTION RESOLVED by the city council of the Cit~ of South San Francisco, a municip corporation in the County of San ~!ateo, State of California, that public interest an convenience require and that it is the intention of said city council to order the following street work to be done in said city, to-wit: That the portion of Olive Avenue in said ~City of South San Francisco descr as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is distant north 690 56' 44" west 717.47 feet a south 9° 35' west 25.42 feet from a railroad spike in a rock designated as point "L1 on a map of a survey for P. E. Iller, filed for record in the office of the County R corder of the County of San Mateo, California, in Book "E" of Maps at page 79; runni thence south 9° 85' west 642.94 feet; thence south 81o 28' west 247.46 feet to a poi'. on the northerly boundar~y line of Hillside Boulevard; thence along an arc of a 435.0 foot radius circle, the same being the northerly line of Hillside Boulevard, a dista~ measured along the arc, of 58.71 feet, the long chord of said arc being 58.65 feet l~ and bearing north 40° 4' 30" west; thence north 81o 28' east 253.03 feet; thence nor' 9° 35' east 6~9.94 feet; thence north 69° 56' 44" west 50.84 feet to the point of begin~ ing~ be vacated and closed up in whole. That it is unnecessary to take any land therefor. That the following described district of land is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and to be assessed to ~ay the costs and expenses the~ of and that said district is in the city of South San rancisco, County of San ~Iateo~ State of California, and particularly described as follows, to-wit: BEGINNING at a point which is distant north 69° 56' 44" west 819.11 feet f~ a railroad spike in a rock designated as point "Ll" on a map of a suz~ey for P. E. I: Filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, Ca: ornia, in Book "E" of Maps at page 79, said point being 100 feet distant measured at right angles from the west line of Olive Avenue; running thence south 9° 35' west 10( feet from, measured at right angles and parallel to the west line of Olive Avenue a distance of 619 feet; thence south ~l° 21' west 283 feet on a line 100 feet distant, measured at right angles and parallel to the westerly line of Olive Avenue, to a poir on the northerly line of Hillside Boulevard; thence southeasterly along the northerl~ of Hillside Boulevard, the ss~me being the arc of a circle of 435 foot radius, a dists of 26o feet to a point distant 100 feet from, measured at right angles, the easterly line of Olive Avenue; running thence north 81o 28' east 100 feet f~om, measured at right angles and parallel to the easterly line of Olive Avenue, a distance of 288 fee running thence north 9° 35' east along a line distant 100 feet from, measured at righ angles and parallel to the east line of Olive Avenue, a distance of 752 Feet; ~hence north 69° 56' 44" west 254.12 feet to the point of b~nning. 236 All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act to provide for laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening or closing up, in whole or in part, any street, square, lane, alley, court, or place within municipalities, andto condemn and acquire any and all 1s_ud and property ne- cessary or convenient for that purpose", approved March 8, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. The street superintendent is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form required by law. Said street superintendent is like- wise directed also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published by fottr-(4) insertions in "The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper published and ~irculated in said City of South San Francisco, which newspaper is hereby designated by said city council as the newspaper in which said street superintendent's notice of passage of this resolution shall be published. -,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the City of South San Francisco, this 28th day of December, 1959, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
