HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 746-1940-~746 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK OF CLOSING A PORTION OF OLIVE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. V~HEREAS, the city council of the city of South San Francisco did, on the 28th day of December, 19~9, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the following street work to be done in said city, to-wit: That the portion of Olive Avenue in said City of South San Francisco dscribed as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is distant north 69° 56! 44" west 717.47. and sou~h 9° 35~ west 25.42 feet from a railroe, d spike in a rock designated as paint "Ll" on a map of a survey of P. E. Iler, filed for record in the office of the Co~mty Recorder of the County of San Mateo, California, in Book "E" of ~aps at page 79; running thence south 9° 35' west 842.94 feet; thence south 81° 28' west 24?.46 feet to a point on the northerly boundary line of Hillside Boulevard; thence along an arc of a 4~5.0 foot radius circle, the same being the northerly line of Hillside BouleVard, a distance, measured along the arc, of 58.7] feet, the long chord of said arc.being 58.65 feet long and bearing north 4o° 4' ~0" west; thence north 81o 28~ east 253.03 feet; thence north 9° 35' east 669.94 feet; thence north 69° 56' 44" west 80~84 feet to the point of beginning, be vacated and closed up in whole; and W~EREAS the street superintend~ut of said city of South San Francisco did thereupon cause notice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and published in the manner and form required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being hereby made for f~rther particulars to the affidavit of U. S. Marshall said superintendent of street~ and the affidavit of Aileen Bramble, which affidavits are now on file in said matter in the office of the clerk of s~idc ity council, and are made a part hereof; and WHEREAS no written objections .or protests against said proposed work or against any portion thereof were at any time filed with or received by the clerk of said city council or said city council at any time subsequent to the publication of said notice heretofore mentioned; and Wi~EREAS the ~oposal work is for the closing up of the portion of Olive Avenue, as hereinbefore described; and WHEREAS said city council of the city of South San Francisco has determined, and hereby deterimes, and no assessment is necessary for the doin~ of said proposed work, and that no damage will result by closing up said portion of Olive Avenue, as hereinbefore described; NOW, THEREF0~, Said city council hereby orders that the following street work be done in said city, to-wit: that the portion of Olive Avenue in said City of Sguth San Francisco described as follows: BEGINI~ING AT A POINT which is distant north 69° 56' 44" west 717.47 feet and south 9° 35' west 25.42 feet from a railroad spike in a rock designated as point "Ll" on a map of a survey for P. E. Iler, filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of the County of S~n Mateo, California, in Book "E" of Maps at page 79; running thence south 9° ~5' west 642.94 feet; thence south 81° 28' west 247.46 feet to a point on the northerly boundary line of Hillside Boulevard; thence along an arc of a 435.0 foot radius circle, the same being the northerly linde of Hillside Boulevard, a distance, measured along the arC, oCr 58.71 feet; the long chord of said arc being 58.65 feet long and bearing north 40 4' 30" west; thence north 81° 28' east 253.03 feet; thence north 9° 35' east 669.94 feet; thence north 69° 56' 44" west 50.84 feet to the point of beginning, be vacated aud closed up in whole; And be it resolved that the portion of the street or avenue hereinbefore de- scribed be, and the same hereby is vacated, discontinued , abandoned and closed up. -O- O- O- O- O- O- O- O- O- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this 6th day of February, 1940~ by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen A.
