DEED BY. CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCZSC0 ~0 SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO LAND AND II~PROVEI~ENT COMPAI~-Y,
W~EREAS the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 28th
day of December, 1939, pass a certain resolution declaring its intention to order
the following work to be done in said city, to-wit:
That the portion of Olive Avenue in said city of South San Francisco described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is distant north 69° 56' 44" west 71~.47 feet and
south 9° 35' west 25.42' from a railroad spike in a rock designated as point "Ll"
on a map of a survey for P. E. Iler, filed for reco~d in the office of the County
Recorder of the CountYoOf San Mateo, California, in Book "E" of Maps at page 79;
z%mning thence south 9 35' west 642.94 feet; thence south 81° 28' west 247~76
feet 'to a point on the nofdaerly boundary line of ~illside Boulevard; thence along
mn arc of a 435.0 foot radius circle, the same being the northerly line of Hill-
side Boulevard, a distance, measured along the arc, of 58.71 feet, the long chord
of said arc being 58.65 feet long and bearing north 4o° 4' 30" west; thence north
81° 28' east 253.03 feet; thence north 9° 35' .east 669.94 feet; thence north 69-
56' 44" west 50.84 feet to the point of beginning, be vacated and closed up in
whole, to which resolution of intention now on file in said matter reference is
hereby made for further particulars and the same is made a part hereof; aud
WHEREAS the street superintendent of said city of South San Francisco did
thereupon cause a notice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and
published in the manner and form required by law and by said resolution of in-
tention, reference being hereby made for further particulars to the affidavit of
U. S. Marshall, who posted said notice, and to the affidavi~ of Aileen Bramble,
which affidavits are now on file in said matter, in the office of the city clerk
of said city, and are made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS no written objections or protests against said proposed work, or
against any portion thereof, were at any time filed with or received by the clerk
of said city council, or this city council at any time subsequent to the publication
of said notices hereinbefore mentioned; and
W~EREAS, after more than ten (10) days had elapsed after the expiration of the
time or.publication of said notice, said city council did, on the 5th day of
February, 1940, pass a resolution wherein that portion of Olive Avenue in said city,
hereinbefore described, was vacated, abandoned, discontinued and closed up, to which
resolution reference is hereby made and the same is made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS the legal title to the land hereinbefore described is vested in South
San Francisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, and the right of the City
of South San Francisco before closing said street or avenue, as aforesaid, consisted
only of an easement therein;
THEREFORE RESOLVED by the city .council of the City of South San F.~. ancisco that
the mayor of said city of South San Francisco and the city clerk be, and they hereby
are authorized, empowered and directed, in behalf of said city of South San Francisco
and in its name, to execute and deliver to said South San Francisco~ Land and Improve-
ment Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of
California, quitclaim deed of all the right, title and interest of said City of South
San F~ancisco in and to the portion of Olive Avenue hereinbefore d~scribed.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution w~.s regularly introduced and
adopted by the city couucil of the city of~ South San Francisco, this 5th day of
February, 1940, by the following vote:
