P~SOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO

~/'~n]EREAS~ by reason of recent extraordinary heavy rain fall, portions of
the sewer extending from a manhole in Oak Avenue, about 600 feet from the inter-
section of Oak Avenue with Orand Avenue, ir.. a southeasterly direction into
Commercial Avenue have been des~oyed and, unless said sewer shall be promptly
repaired, the h~lth of persons living in the vicinity of said sewer and who are
dependent upon said sewer for sanitary purposes ,may be injured;
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco that
public necessity require that said sewer be repaired immediately for the purposes
of safeguarding public health. The City ~ngineer is hereby authorized and directed
to purchase all such materials and to cause allsuch labor to be employed as will be
necessary to repair said sewer at the earliest possible time.
