HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 759-1940IN THE MATTER OF T~E APPLICATION FOR A~SISTANCE IN THE P~OVA~ OF ~T~ RAI~AT TRACN~ FROM GRAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOD~E SAN FRANCISCO RESOLVE9 BY the city council of the City of 3curb San F~ancisco that said city apply to .Federal Wroks Agency Work Projects Administration for assistance in the removal f~om Grand Avenue, in said city, of all street railway traCks, including the rails, ties, fish plates, spikes, bolts, tie-bars, frogs, switches, and other materials used in the construction of said tracks, now laid in, or upon or across any of the streets, avenues and bfghways referred to in Ordinance Number 66 adopted by the Board of Trustees of said city on the 21st day of April, 1913, and ordinance number 85 adopted by said Board of Trustees on the 7th day of September, 1915, and that said City of South San Francisco become sponsor for the removal of the same. Daniel McSweeney, as city clerk of the City of South Ban Francisco, is hereby appointed representative of said City of Francisco for the purpose of executing any and all documents which may be required in connection with the' application to be m_~_de pursuant hereto. Said Daniel McSweeney, as such city clerk a~d such representative of said city of South San Francisco, is hereby authorized and directed to execute suclx certificate as may be roquix~d by the Federal Works Agency Work l~oJects Administration, _-_~d the city attorney of said city is hereby authorized and directed to attest such certificate. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the City of SOuth San FranciSco, this 20th day of May, 1940, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
