RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BIDS FOR
FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT OF CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
AUTOMOBILE
RESOLVED by the~city c~uncil of the City of South San Froncisco that public interest
and convenience reouire that said city purchase a new automobile for the Fire Department
of said city.
The city clerk of said city is hereby directed to publish by two [E) insertions in
'The Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City
of South San Frsncisco, the following notice inviting sealed proposals or kids for such
automobile: '

Sealed proposals will be redeived by the city counc~:l of the 0ity of South San
~rancisco until 8:00 o'clock p. m. on Monday, the 4th d~y of November, 1940, for furnishi~
to said city, for use in the fire department of said city, an automobile designated as
follows: De Soto six cylinder custom four door sedan, model 1941, painted ~re Departmen
red and fully equipped.
The bidder, to ~om the contract for the purchase of such automobile tnay be awarded,
shall, without ~ddltional com~ensation, install on such automobile a siren and two red
lights to be furnished by said City of South S~n Francisco.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to the cil~ cl-er~!~n or before 8:00 o'Clo.
p. m. on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1940. All sea. led proposals or bids will be
opened by said city council in ~ub~ic session on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1940,
at 8:00 0'cl'~ck p.m. in the c~._~cil Chamber of Said City council. The city council herebl
reserves the right to reject any and Rll bids.
