RESOr. UTION APPROVING MAP OF SOUT~IOOD SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS the map of Southwood No. 1, South Gan Francisco, California, was approved
by the City Planning Oommisston of t~e City of South San Francisco on the 1Vth day of
October,-1940;
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco that said city council
hereby.approves said map upon the conditions specified in paragraphs numbered I and 2 ~
hereof as follows:
1. All specifications for the construction of paving,, sidewalks, curbs, gutters
and sewers shall be the equivalent of the standard contained in the specifications adopted
by s~id city council for the improvement work in the Paradise Valley Subdivision in said
city.
American Homes Inc., and its smccesSors ar~ assigns, s~ll have the right, at all
times, to operate and take water from any well or wells in t~e subdivision delineatAd upon
said map, notwithstanding the fact that said wells are located in anna rea, which is dedicat-
ed for public street .purposes, by the acceptance of the offer of dedication appearing on.
Aa~ ma~. Sai~ Nmerican Homes Inc., its successors and assigns, shall have the right, at
all reasonable times, to excavate in t~e public streets, in wOtch said wells are located,
for the 'pm~poses of b~ilding and maintaining any structure, machinery~, pipes and equipment
necessary for the use and operation of' said wells; it being understood, however, that,
in so doing, said American Homes Ind., its. successors and assigns, shall indemnify and
save said City of South San Francisco harmless against all liablility of every kind and
nature which m__~y be sustained by said City of Sout~x San Francise~$ or by any .person, persona,
or corporation, by reason of the use of such public street in connection with t~e main-
tenance, operation and use of said wells.
Said city council hereby ~ authorizes the recordation of said map and accePts, .on behalf
of the public, all streets, avenues, drives and easements and other parcels of land offered
for dedication for public use in conformity with the terms of the 'offer of dedication
appearing ~ said map. ~

I hereby certify t~at t~e foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the city council of the City of. South San Francisco, this 28th day of October, lSAO, by
the following vote:
