RESOLUTION ~VA~tDING C(~ITRACT FOR ROCK
F0H ThE CONSTHUCTION OF A BASE COURSE
FOR PAVING ON GRA~D AV~NUE
~'~nEREAS the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session
on the 9tn day of June, 1941, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals
or bids for furnishing to said city crusher run rock, and red, brown or gray shale;
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco t~t said city
council hereby rejects all said~ bids, except to~t next hereinafter mentioned, and
hereby awards the contract for furnishing rock of the kind hereinafter mentioned to
the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: J.S. Baker at t~e price named in mis bid,
to-wit: Sixty (60) cents per cubic yard
Said rock shall be gray shale, as selected by t~e City Engineer of said city.
All suc~ rock must be furnished in strict accordance with the specifications for
such rock adopted by said city council on the 2~rd day of ~ay, l~*l~ and to t~e
satisfaction of the city engineer of said city, and in accordance with the terms
of t~e letter of said J. $. Baker, dated Jzne ~, 19~l, and f~om the source stated
in said lettere
The mayor and t~e city clerk are hereby authorized and directed, in the name
of said city and under its seal, to execute t~e contract hereby awarded.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco this 9th day of
June, 19Al, by the following vote:
