CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALTIC CONC~ETE
PAV~,~ENT ON EAST GRAND AVENUE.
WHEREAS the city council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session
on the 6th day of October, 1941, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or
bids. for the construction of an asphaltic concrete pavement on the existing rock base on
the portion of East Grand. Avenue, in said city, extending easterly from the easterly bound-
ary line of Industrial ~'~ay for a distance of forty-ei~t hundred aud seventy-seven (4877)
feet and at the location shown upon the p~ans hereinafter mentioned;
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San rancmsco that said city
council hereby~ rejects all said bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby
awards t~e contract for the work hereinbefore describe~ and referred to to the lowesti~re-
sp0nsible biider, to-wit: Union Pavihg Company, a corporation, at the unit price named
in its bid, to-wit: Three and 33/100 Dollars ($3.33) per ton.
All said work shall be perfor~ned and all materials used therein shall be furn-
ished in strict accordance with the plans and specifications adopted for said work on the
22nd day of September, 19~l, and under the supervision and to the satisfaction of the
city engineer of said city.
Said successful bidder sh~ll fully comply with all provisions of law applicable
to the work hereinbefore referred to.
The mayor and the city clerk are hereby aubnorized and directed, in the name of
said city and under its seal, to execute the contract hereb? a~Jarded.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this 8th day of 0ctober~
