IN THE MATTER OF THE VACATION OF CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC USE IN
PARADISE VALLEY SUBD]?¢ISION.
RESOEgED by the city council of the City of South San F~ancisco, a municipal
corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California, that public interest az~ _
convenience requi~e and that it is the intention of said city council to order the follow
lng public wox~k ko be done in said city, to-wit:
That the easement for Public use on each of the parcels of land hereinafter described
be vacated and closed up in whole.
The land hereinbefore referred ko consists of all that certain parcel of land situate
in the City of South San F~ancisco, County of San Mateo, ~tate of California, and particularly
described as follows, to-wit:
A strip of land of the uniform width of 6 feet lying contiguous to and southwesterly
of the northeasterly ~boundary line of lot 8 of block 8, as the same are delineated and so
designated upon said map, gnd extending from the northwesterly boundary line of said lot 8
southeasterly to a line parallel with and distant 8.0 foot'northwesterly f~om (measured perpen-
dicularly to) t~e southeasterly boundtry line ofsaid lot 8..
The map hereinbefore ~eferred to is that certain map entitled eSubdivision' Map of
Paradise Valley Bouth San F~ancisco San Mateo Co.' Calif.#, which map was filed in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, California, March 20, Z940, in Volume 22
of Maps at page
That it is unnecessary ~to takt any land therefor.
That the following described district of land Ls hereby declsmed to be the distx~ict
benefitted by said work and to be assessed to pa_y the costs and expenses thereof and that
said district is situated in ,the city of South San Fra,ucisco, County of San Mateo, State
of Oaliforala, and ptrticularly described as follows, to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point formed .by the intersection of the northerly line of lot numbered
eight (8) in Block numbered~eight (8) with the easterly line of Highl~n_ d Ave, as shown upon
that certain map entitled: 'Subdivision Map of Paradise Valley ~outh tan Francisco San Marco
Co. Calif.u which map was filed in the office of the county recorder of the ~ounty of San
Mateo, California, March 20, 19~0, in Volume ~2 of Maps at page A0; running thence easterly
along the northerly line of lot numbered eight (8) to the easterly boundary line of said lot
numbered eight (8); thence southerly along the easterly line of said lot numbered eight
(8) to the northerly line of Hillside Boulevard; thence ~esterLy along the northerly llne of
Hillside Boulevar~ to the easterly line of Highland Ay.; thence northerly along the easterly
line of Highland Ay. to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom all ways and areas of any
character dedicated to any public use.
All ~the herein proposed work shall be done in pttrs?;~uce of Division § of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of Ca~ifarniae
The street superitendent is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along
the line of said contemplated work or Improvement, notices of the passage of this resolution
of intention in the manner and farm required by law. ~aid street superintendent is likewise
directed also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published by three (3) insertions
in "The Enterprise.e, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South S,_~
Francisco, which nesspaper is hereby designated by said city council as the newspaper in
which said straet superintendent's notice of passage of this resolution s~all be published.
I.~ hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the city council of the city of South ~an ~ancisco, this ~rd day of November, 1B~I, by
the following vote:
