WHEREAS 0ppenneimer Casing Co., a corporation, and ~¥~. Hinrichs did, during the month of ~ay, 1942, wilfully and unlawfully suffer, cause and permit certain premises situate at the northwest corner of Pine Avenue and DivisionStreet in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, to become nauseous, foul, offensive and prejudicial to public health ar~t public comfort, and have caused and created a public nuisance by then and there engaging in the process of brining upon t~e premises great quantities of intestines of sheep for the purpose of cleansing said intestines and ~onverting said intestines into casings to enclose food products and, by engaging in said process of cleansing and converting said intestines into such casings, then and there caused foul, nauseous, vile end offensive odors to arise from said intestines and to emenate from the premises, on whic~ said defendants did then and there carry on said work of cleaning said intestines and converting them into SUCh casings, and to be emitted into and to permeate tt~e neighborhood adjoining said premises; said nuisance then and there being indecent, and offensive to the senses and injurious to the health of many people in the vicinity, and interferring with the confortable enjoyment of life and property by a considerable number of persons in the neighborhood of said premises, where said defendant did then and there conduct and carry on said processes; RESOLVED by the city council of the city of South San Francisco that the city attorney be, and he is hereby directed to commence an action in the name of the People of the State of California a(~ainst said Oppenheimer Casing Co. and said ~i. Hinrichs to abate said public nuisance. I hereby certify that tae foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this 15th day of June, 1942, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Geo.
