Resolved by the city council of the City of South San ~'rancisco t!~at it is the
intention of said city council to abandon and discontinue, ,as a 2ark, all ti~t cer-
tain tract or parcel of land situate in the city of South can Francisco, ,~ounty of
San ~lateo, State of allfornma, and particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All that certain 4.694 acre tract recorded ~.~.'Iay 2, 1934, in Volume
619 of Official Records at page ].48, San r~ateo County Records, excepti~ therefrom
the following described parcel:
Beginning at a point on the northeaster.ly line of School Street in tl'~ City. of
South San Fr~ancisco, said point being the mos~t easterly corner of the South San
Francisco Grantor, ar School District 2..087 acre tract, a description of which was re-
corded June 18, 1925, in Volume 1V8 of Official Records at page 5,~ San }~tateo County
Records.
Thence from the po~int of beginning on and .along the nor~theasterly boundary' line
of said ~.08V acre tract on the ~rc of a curve to the. right having a radius of ~80
feet, the long chord of said curve bears N 3~o 59' 56" V! 13V.96 feet, a distance of
139.40 feet to a point_, a radial line at the last mentioned point bears N V1° 15' 48"
E; thence on the arc of a curve to the left, with a. radius of 160.10 feet, a radi. al
line at the point of reverse curve bears S 71° 15' 48" ~..~? a distz~nce of 8.79 feet ~o a
point, a radial line through the last menti°nedoP°int4v bears S 68° 07' 02" '~; thence
leaving the line of said 2.087 acre tract, N 08' 18" E 166.55 feet to a point;
thence S 29° tV' 55" E 180.28 feet to a point in the southeasterly line of that cer-
tain 4,694 acre tract, recorded I',~ay 2, 1934, in Volume 619 of Official Records at page
418, San ~.~Iateo County Records; thence on an along tae southeasterly line of said
4.694 acre tract S 58° 48' 18" l¥ 154.96 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 4.077 acres and being a portion of the above described 4.694 acre tract.
Said city cotu~cil hereby finds that said tract of land is 2ct appropriate, con-
venient or neceseary for park purposes; that such purported parl~ has not been used by
the public 2or park purposesl that no consideration has been pa~d therefor except by
said municipal corporationl that no public funds have been expended to improve the same
as a park,
Said city council hereby fixes the 8th day of September, 1942, at the hour of 8:00
o'clock p. m., in the council chamber of said city counci~ in the city of South San Fran-
cisco, County of San ~ateo, State of California, as the time and place when and where
said city council will meet to take final action upon the proposition to abandon and
discontinue such purported park.
This resolution of intention shall be published once a week for three (3) successive
~nterprise'', a newspaper of
weeks prior to said 8th day of September, 1942, in "The ~
general circulatiOn published ~n said City of ~o~th San i;~rancisco
The City clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution to be published in said
newspaper, in tt~e manner and form required by law and by this resolution.
The city engineer is hereby directed to post this resolution conspicuously along
the boundaries of t/ht~X[~nd hereinbefore described, wt~ch land is the purported~park pro-
posed to be aband~/ned, not less than one hundred (100) feet apart, but not les~ than four
(4) in all. ,/
This resolution is adopted in pursuance of that certain act of the legislature of the
State of California entitled "An act to authorize municipal corporations to abandon parks and_
sell and convey the land embraced therein", Statutes of 1939, Chapter ll07.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by ~he city council of the City of South Sah Francisco, this Zrd day of Aug~s t, 1942, by
