RESC~UTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR BUICK AUTOMOBILE
~THEREA~ the city council of the city of South San Francisco did, in open session,
on the 1st day of February, 19~3, duly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals
submitted for furnishing to said City a Buick sedan automobile, mOdel 61
RESOLVED by the city council of the City of South San Francisco that said City
Council does hereby reject all said sealed proposals, except that next hereinafter
-mentioned and hereby awards to Howard Buick Company th® contract for furnishing to
said City a Buick s. edan automobile, mode~l 61-42, for the sum of ~Nineteen Hundred and
Seventy-two and 40/100 Dollars ($1972.40). Said Buick sedan a6.tomobile shall be
fully equipped. Said Howard Buick Company shall, without compen~sation, remove, f~om
the automobile of said city, whtc~ said successful bidder agrees, to purchase, the
siren, ~ed lights and spot light thereon and transfer said slren~ red lights and spot
light to the Buick sedan antomobile to be acquired by said city..
Said city council hereby accepts the offer of said Howard~ Buick Company to
purchase the Buick Sedan automobile bearing engine number 64,198~226 now owned by
said City and used in the Police Department of said city for the~ sum of Eight Hundred
and Thirty-seven and 40/100 Dollars ($837.40) Said last mentipned sum of money
shall be deducted from the sum of money first hereinbefore mentipned, and a warrant
of said city shall be issued to said successful bidder for the s~um of Eleven Hundred
and Thirty-five Dollars ($113§.00).
It is understood that said city, in selling said automobile last hereinbefore
mentioned to said successful bidder, shall retain title to the generator and battery
now in said automobile and may remove said generator and said bettery therefrom.
The mayor and said city and the city clerk are hereby authorized and directed
in the name of said city of South Sam Francisco and under its corporate seal to
execute and deliver to said successful bidder all documents necessary to transfer the
title Of said Buick automobile bea~ing engine number 6~,19§,228 to said successful
bidder.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the city council of the city of south San Francisco this 1st day of
February, 1945, by the following vote:
