AN WHEREAS said weeds have attained such a large growth as to become a fire menace when said weeds shall become dry, and are dangerous; RESOLVED by the City Council of tae City of South San Francisco that tae weeds grow- ing on all the portions of the streets and avenues hereinbefore described be, ar~t t~e same hereby are declared to be a public nuisance and that it is tae intention of said City Council to order said nuisance to be abated. Said City Council hereby determines and declares that said nuisance exists in front of the following described property, all of which is situate in tne City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows, to- wit: Block one hundred thirty-three (133), as shown upon that certain map entitled "Plat of Buckingham's Subdivision of Block 133~ South San Francisco. The 10ts of land fronting upon Knoll Circle, ?ariway ~rive and ~est Orange Avenue are 388 shown upon that certain map filed in the office of the County Recorder of the ~ounty of San Mateo, California, November l, 1940, in Book 23 of ~aps at page 8. There is excepted from the streets and avenues h~reinbefo~e described, all paved portions thereof and all sidewalk areas and areas of existing driveways which are covered with concrete or other sidewalk material. There is also excepted from said streets ard avenues the portions thereof upon which, for any cause, weeds are not now growing, or from which weeds have been removed prior to the date of the passage of this ~esolutions. There is also excepted from the land hereinbefore described all land in front of which the en tire ar&a between the curb and co2responding property line is covered by a sidewalk. The superintendent of streets is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted in front of all property in front of which said nuisance exists, and not more than one hundred (100) feet in distance mpart, but not less t~an three (3) in all, notices headed "Notices to Destroy weeds", in the manner and form required by law.
